Mining Right in Burkina Faso: 356 Exploration Permits Now Available For Application

(Burkina –Emine)–Ouagadougou - April 03, 2016: This March 30, 2016, the Council of Ministers of Burkina Faso, under the Ministry of Energy, Mines and quarries, adopted a report on the situation of mining rights in the country.

It appears that 356 exploration permits are now in the public domain: of 731 exploration permits, 316 are expired and 40 have been renounced by their holders. To that should be added 368 of 419 artisanal mining permits expired.
